HAPPY 311 DAY!

this time i've decided to feature an artist for their awesome art having to do with 311.

the best photo:

:iconaustenphoto: Now, looking at pictures of 311 through the years, i've seen a lot of "P-nut Flies!" pictures, but none are this brilliant. I love the choice of black and white, this way the colors you see at those shows don't distract from the flying bassist. And boy, does he really stand out in this shot.

the best drawn art:

:icondelya: Delya is one of the greatest cartoonists i've seen in her media around this day and age. The fact that she likes 311 just makes her cooler. and this drawing of Nick? amazing. probably one of the best non-realism drawings of him i've seen. evar. It really captured him well.

the best visual of lyrics:

:iconunflux: this happens to be my favorite out of all three when it comes to unique art. Such simplicity, gorgeous colors, crisp quality. Its amazing. And the play on the title is just a tug at my heart.

you'd love him more if ya met him. he cut his hair like Nick's and he runs around quoting MST3K and Pearl Jam songs during class.

Thanks for the feature. It's funny that you chose that one, I prefer the initial one I have in the gallery that's in color. Different shot, same subject.
