“Hot Chocolate”

Bee loved movie nights. Especially in the winter, with the snow and ice. Roads were closed after storms, which meant less work due to lack of cars on the roads to get damaged or need work, or people being able to get to the shop. So there was a lot of free time for the crew to spend together, leading to movie night.

He loved how the 5 of them (Bee, Prime, Jazz, Hide, and Ratchet) usually sat around with blankets or hot chocolate and watch some pointless movie that they would fall asleep halfway through.

He loved how no matter how cold it was outside, there was always warmth inside. Warmth in the hearts. It was like spending quality time with your family. There was always that feeling of love.

Tonight, however, half the “family” wasn’t there to enjoy the movie.

The others were out getting groceries before the next big storm when Alex and Eric were picking out which movie to watch. Alex looked up out the window and, in the blink of an eye, scattered snowflakes turned into a downright downpour.
There was no way that the guys would get back in time. Of course, it worried Bumblebee that his buddies were most likely in a car during this downpour of frozen water, but he was glad he wasn’t out there.

Eric enjoyed movie nights for one reason.  

Hot chocolate.

Yeah, it wasn’t a good substitute for the almighty coffee, but he always had a mug because it made Bee happy. He hated to admit it, but Alex was freaking adorable when he drank his cocoa.

Bee always wrapped his hands up in the extra long sleeves of his sweater, holding his mug through the fabric, and without moving his wrists one degree, brings his elbows up from his crossed legs to lift the brim of the marshmallow filled cup to his lips. He always purses a smile on his lips as he takes his sips of his favorite drink, and when he notices Eric watching him, he looks up like a lost puppy with chocolate foam on his upper lip. When he realizes this, he crosses his eyes, confused, and tries to lick the foam off of his face.

Everyone and their mother knew Eric enjoyed watching Bumblebee drink hot chocolate, and they would usually use this opportunity to point it out. Jazz usually would be the first to say something, along the lines of, “Hey Prime, isn’t Bee’s marshmallow ‘stache adorable?” and accompany it with a mischievous glare and a laugh. However, he didn’t have to worry about that now.

Eric looked over from “Spaceballs” to see Alex handing him a hot chocolate. He was in the process of licking off the foam, which made Eric smile into his cup. It was awkwardly funny.  Taking a drink, he looked back over, “How do I look?” Alex saw Eric donning a chocolate foam mustache and smiling.

Bee laughed.

“What?” Eric sighed, still trying to smile.

Alex tried to stop laughing, “Let me get that for you.” Eric twitched his nose as Alex rubbed off majority of the chocolate with his thumb, and sucking the chocolate off his finger.

“I think you missed a spot,” Eric laughed.  Alex smiled, leaning closer and capturing Eric’s mouth for himself.

Hot chocolate had never tasted so good before.
